My first formal art classes were Beginning Oil Painting at West Chester U. and a drawing class w/ Isa Barnett at CAC in 1986, followed by 2 years in oil w/ Paula Lachman. Summers I worked in watercolor w/Sue Kaminski (Springfield HS art teacher and friend). In 2000, after retiring from teaching, I studied watercolor w/Nancy Barch, and pastel w/Donna Cusano at CAC. I continued pastels under Donna and w/ Madeleine Kelly for several years. I am a member of Delaware Valley Art League, Community Arts Center, and a signature member of both Philadelphia Water Color Society and the Philadelphia Pastel Society. I have served as president of DVAL and treasurer for PWCS.   She has worked in oils, water colors, acrylics, but is primarily a pastelist.   Dee has studied with Sue Kaminski, Nancy Barch, Donna Cusano, Sarah Yeoman and others.  She is an active member of Delaware Valley Art League and a Signature member of Philadelphia Water Color Society.  She has served as president of DVAL and treasurer for PWCS.  Her work can be seen at  DeeCasner.com
